Four kinds of support
From the first question to the last bolt.
Installation
Get it right the first time
General good practice for fibre cement roofing. Your installer will adapt it to the building and local wind and rain conditions.
Structure and slope
Check purlin spacing against the sheet length and wind load. Keep enough slope for drainage; increase it in heavy-rain districts.
Lay against the wind
Start at the eave on the side away from the prevailing wind so the side laps face away from driving rain.
Overlap
Side overlap of one corrugation. End overlap of 150–200 mm, more on shallow slopes.
Fix on the crest
Drill, do not punch, the holes. Fix through the crest with hook bolts and sealing washers at every purlin. Do not over-tighten.
Ridge and edges
Cap the apex with ridge panels. Leave a ventilation gap on animal sheds. Seal around pipes and edges.
Handling and safety
Carry sheets on edge, store flat and dry off the ground. Never walk on unsupported sheets; use crawl boards.

Full terms and exclusions are provided with the product documentation. Damage from incorrect installation, structural movement or misuse is not covered.

Nine lengths from 2 to 10 RFT (running feet), all 4 mm thick and 6-layered. The coloured range comes in the same sizes in red, blue and green.
Anwar Cement Sheet Ltd. publishes a temperature reduction of up to 12°C compared with conventional roofing. The actual difference depends on ventilation, roof height and the building.
No. Fibre cement contains no steel or timber, so it is rust, rot and corrosion free, which matters in coastal, riverside and farm environments.
The sheet is non-combustible with fire resistance published up to 1200°C.

Never walk directly on unsupported sheets. Use crawl boards or roof ladders that spread the load across purlins, and follow standard roof-safety practice.
Through the crest of the corrugation with hook bolts and sealing washers at every purlin, never through the valley. Side overlap is one corrugation and end overlap is 150–200 mm. A trained installer from an Anwar dealer should do the fixing.

DuraRoof is Anwar Cement Sheet Ltd.’s industrial roofing sheet: a 6 mm fibre cement sheet in lengths from 4 ft to 12 ft, made with Italian technology for factories, warehouses and other industrial structures.
It depends on the sheet length, from 2 ft 9 in to 4 ft 6 in, with a maximum purlin centre of 1375 mm (54"). See the purlin distance table on this page.
Yes. DuraRoof sheets were tested by the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at BUET, which is DuraRoof’s long-term research partner. The test reports are shown on the Why Anwar page.
